THE LEAVES AND FASHION ARE TURNING
Photography | Scott Wright
Autumn is a beautiful yet messy season, warm yet cold. It is the season which makes me ask myself ‘what do I wear today’ more than any other! With a family woodland walk on the cards, this Saturday was no exception to that question. It’s been a very warm start to Autumn this year with the days starting in thick jumpers and coats to stripping down to a vest for the lunchtime 20 degree spell. Although I own coats a plenty, I never seem to have the right jacket for a casual stroll. Having never invested in a denim jacket, I thought now was the time.
I remember years ago denim borg lined jackets becoming an Autumn fashion trend and never committed myself, this time around I’m wondering why. A denim jacket is a wardrobe staple, it’s up there with a leather jacket in terms of versatility and comfort. The borg lining just adds to the cosiness of the denim. Casual Autumn fashion for me is generally focused around layering up with thin fabrics and lightweight jumpers. Coupled with a great jacket, skinny jeans and some flat ankle boots, I’m good to go for my leaf kicking walks.
My new jacket is actually from Primark! One of those lucky sights as I walked through the store one day, on route to somewhere else in fact. As the store does not have an online shop, I have listed some alternatives for you below. My skinny jeans are from H&M along with my grey jumper. The chocker is from Asos and the boots, let’s just take a moment to recognise these boots…
Purchased last year, maybe even two years ago now from Ravel, these beauties are THE most comfortable ankle boot I have ever owned. The colour and style scream Autumn fashion and they go with pretty much anything. I did have a scout for you however I can’t find them anywhere so have listed an alternative again below for you. I just wish I had brought two pairs at the time for when these ones need replacing.
