CHRISTMAS MOVIES | BLOGMAS DAY 5

MY TOP 5 MUST WATCH

dining-in-tokyo

If you hadn’t already guessed it, Christmas is by far my favourite celebration in the year. I can not get enough of this festive time. I just love everything about it. The food, the meaning, the lights, the love, the movies. Oooh yes the movies, Christmas movies are so feel good. You would be hard to top siting by the tree with a mulled wine and a good christmas movie. Which festive film is the best though? I am not going to attempt to answer that question, however I will share with you 5 of my most favourites. In no particular order, lets get this list on the go:

HOME ALONE | HOME ALONE LOST IN NEW YORK

To begin with it’s two for the price of one with Home Alone and Home Alone Lost in New York. These movies are no doubt number one on a lot of peoples lists. Both are great wholesome movies with classic gags and tricks. Every year both of these are on my watch list. In addition to viewing great movies, you will also gain some pretty awesome home protection skills!

ELF

SANTAAAAAAAAAAAA – Elf is a modern classic. Will Ferrell nails this role and the ability to give us all that warm fuzzy christmas  feeling inside. I challenge anyone to watch this Christmas movie and not laugh out loud at the yellow taxi knock down scene.

SANTA CLAUSE THE MOVIE

For as long as I can remember as a family we would watch this classic movie on Christmas eve. I remember it feeling so magical and that has stayed with me. Every year I now have the tradition of wrapping presents whilst watching my favourite santa and I still get that feeling. This may just be my number one choice – So much nostalgia! (Not just because I was a spitting image of the little girl when I was younger ha!)

IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE

I can not believe I was in my 30s before I watched this movie. If you have never seen it’s a wonderful life, watch it, go and watch it right now! A totally oldie but a goodie. Scott and I now watch this movie every year before Christmas. We have a Luckies of London Smartphone Projector we’re planning on watching it on this year to make it feel really traditional.

DIE HARD

One of my all time favourite movies. I am prepared to argue until the cows come home on this one… Yes it’s an action movie, yes it was released in February. However it is Bruce Willis and it is set at Christmas, therefore Christmas movie! Yippee Ki Yay Mother F*$%@R!

Among these, Deck the Halls, The Santa Clause and Miracle on 34th Street are up there in the list. In fact I’ll even watch the Christmas 24 movie channel! Which Christmas movies are your favourite?
