Wedding day eve! We decided to spend the day separately with our families and meet up later on in the evening for dinner.
Us Tovells headed out for a walk to Central Park, partly to show the rents and little sis the Cop Cot and partly to make sure it was still there ready for tomorrow
Mum, Amy, Talula and myself took a walk round to Central Park Zoo whilst dad watched the world go by in the park for a while before coming to meet us for lunch.
Walking back to our hotel we spotted the rarely seen rents holding hands and grabbed ourselves a couple of snow cones – Which are REALLY hard to eat by the way.
Meanwhile the Wrights headed out for a walk along the High Line which is a 1.45 mile long line park. Built up high on a disused rail line. Can you tell who took the better camera with them.
My best friends ‘The Prices’ were holidaying in Canada and arriving in NYC today. Walking back to the hotel I said it would be funny if we saw them checking in and weirdly enough as we walked into the lobby there they were!
We went out to dinner with them to a great cuban restaurant called Havana Central on 151 W 46th St before heading over to the red steps in Times Square for some photos.
Tom and Lynne kindly offered to walk Isaac back that night so Scott and I could go and have one last drink as ‘singletons’
We walked through times square and stopped at this great little rum bar called The Rum House 228 West 47th Street, between broadway and 8th. We were taking a selfie enjoying a drink when this American couple (And I’m ashamed to say, I can not remember their names) asked to take the photo below for us. We got chatting to them and next thing we knew a bottle of champagne came over from them which was amazing. The couple wanted to show us some American hospitality and shared a few glasses with us before disappearing onto broadway. Thank you beautiful couple whoever you are, we will never forget your generosity.
Leaving The Rum House we took a slow walk back to the Sheraton where Scott walked me up to my huge hotel suite and kissed me goodnight promising to see me at the Cop Cot the following afternoon. It was five to midnight and traditionally we did not spend the night together before our wedding…
Which would be only 16 hours later.
