OUR WEDDING | THE EVENING

Friday | 28th August 2015

When we arrived at the 3 west club they took us into a beautiful separate room to have 15 minutes to ourselves with some champagne and canapés whilst our guests enjoyed the view upstairs in the Solarium

The centre pieces were so beautiful and just how we wanted them – Flowers By Daye

The 3 West Club made the whole room beautiful with candles everywhere and the linen to match our grey & white colour theme

Scott and I had these drinks mats made, our guests had space on the back to add their piece of advice to us as newlyweds which will be forever entertaining to read!

My mum made individual hearts for every place setting, all different and handmade, she also surprised us with putting up some beautiful handmade bunting in our colour scheme, thanks mum x

For favours, we gave all of our guests a pair of aviators with a note on the back

‘You’ll need these for the morning after a great night before’

As we were going up the lift to the solarium we were asked about our ‘entrance song & dance’ this is an American tradition so we thought why not, embrace it! free styling it, we danced into the room to greet everyone.

Scott and I chose to have one large table with everyone sat around it to keep the dinner intimate and close.

Choosing a huge New York cheesecake instead of a traditional wedding cake was the best idea ever! Except we forgot to eat it on the day…

We really didn’t want the night to end there so we walked everyone down to Times Square where I threw the bouquet and got our faces up on the big screen before a few of us headed back to The Rum House for a nightcap, best night EVER!

We felt like royalty the whole day, so many people congratulating us, taking pictures and selfies with us, I dread to think where we’ve ended up! Thank you New York for hosting our amazing day and for being so hospitable, we miss you!

I have been slipping our wedding video at the bottom of each of these posts, just in case you haven’t seen it here it is, we hope you enjoy watching it as much as we do.

Thank you again for taking the time to read about our special day, I’ll continue with the honeymoon and road trip posts soon.

I’ve been loving reading your wedding posts Laura. You looked stunning – I can’t believe you did your own hair and make up too! It looked so magical – I’ve now got the bug to go and visit NYC!
    Happy Anniversary 🙂

Thank you lovely. It was an incredible day! You should visit, NYC is amazing! We’re planning on going again in February when it’s colder to see a different season 🙂 X
